In the first week of each month, I plan plan the number of pedals and their variations I will be able to that batch. To ensure build quality, the number of spots available is limited. I then make the Pre-Orders available, and I start building the batch which normally takes 3-4 weeks. Upon completion, all pedals are shipped to their respective owners.

- First week of the month: Pre-orders open
- Second and third week of the month: Building time
- Last two weeks of the month: Completing the pedals and shipping

Yes - After placing your order, you'll receive a confirmation email. If you don't see it, check your Spam or Junk folders. If it's still missing there, reach out to me and I'll send it again from the website. Note that not receiving the confirmation email doesn't mean your order wasn't processed, as long as you received a payment confirmation from PayPal or Stripe. If you registered as a member before or during the ordering process, you can find your order details in your user dashboard.

Yes - Once your pedal is complete and shipped, I will send you an email confirmation with the tracking number and a photo of your own pedal next to the original.

As my base is in Europe, my pedal prices are listed in Euros. If you selected your own currency (USD, GBP...) the website performs the conversion automatically according to the official exchange rate, which fluctuates periodically.

Yes! You can easily and safely pay with your Credit Card at the checkout. Just select the "Credit Card via Stripe" option. If you're paying in USD or GBP, using the credit card option through the well-known Stripe payment gateway also offers better conversion rates compared to PayPal.

I'm sorry - Due to the big demand for standard versions, I can't take custom orders anymore. I do small runs of special finishes from time to time, though.

There's absolutely no difference in terms of sound, tone, and response. They are all exact sonic copies of my Klon Centaur #2505.

It depends on what you are looking to achieve with the Golden horse:

- Use it as a tone-shaping 'Always on' pedal?
- As a boost? Boosting your other drives, or boosting the signal after them?
- As a drive? Crunch, or distortion? Stacked with other pedals?

The Klon circuit is incredibly versatile and offers a wide range of tones, so you will have endless possibilities. I cannot recommend a specific placement as everyone's preferences, needs, equipment, and styles are different. The best advice I have is to experiment and have fun in the process!

The Fuzz mode on the Reverend it's not like a typical fuzz and isn't really placement-sensitive, it usually works well both before and after the majority of buffers. In fact, you'd be surprised how many Golden Horse users are telling me every day how they love the tones coming out of the Reverend when they stack both pedals together with the GH in front, which is a buffered pedal.

Yes - You can split the Reverend XX in TRS mode to run each side independently within a pedal switcher. The TRS option is primarily designed for placing pedals between channels, but it also works with a pedal switcher for independent side control.

However, it's important to note that due to the characteristics of this circuit, using the TRS option for individual channel control with a looper switcher can lead to feedback or signal bleed. To avoid this, the TRS option must only be used with switchers that dump the send signal to ground for bypassed loops. Compatible switchers include the Carl Martin Octaswitch, Musicom EFX, Disaster Area DPC Micro, Harley Benton FXL8 Pro, and Joyo PXL Live. If you're using a different switcher than these, the TRS mode is only recommended if you intend to use the pedal for mid to low gain settings.

In TRS mode, the Input Jack acts as the loop for the RIGHT side (TIP is the INPUT, RING is the SEND), and the Output Jack for the LEFT side (TIP is the RETURN, RING is the OUTPUT).

This issue is a common problem when using charge-pumped analog pedals like the Klon Centaur, Golden Horse, or Golden Royale in combination with some digital pedals, such as the Strymon Timeline. The interaction between the charge pump's frequency and the Strymon's frequencies causes the whine. You can search for "Klon Heterodyning" to learn more about this issue.

To resolve the problem, you can try the following tips:

- Use an effects loop for one of the pedals
- Use different power supplies for the Klon/GH/GR and the Strymon (as suggested on the Strymon website - Click Here)
- Turn down the GRIT knob on the Timeline all the way
- If you're only using the Klon/GH/GR as a clean boost, place it after the Timeline in your signal chain.

The selection of knobs for the Golden Horse and Golden Royale was a careful process that considered several factors such as Aesthetics / Diameter / Height / Gold Tonality / Shaft Type / Construction Quality / Tactile Feel. I am particular about aesthetics and after careful contemplation, I determined that Gold knobs with Black lines did not look as stunning as the Gold Knobs with a White line (Golden Royale) or in-body notch (Golden Horse).

The only drawback of this kind of knobs is that they may be difficult to read on dark stages in live shows. Some people just draw a black line over the original mark with a permanent marker - This is the easiest and quickest solution. Just like this:



Starting summer 2023, you can ask for alternative black knobs for your GH/GR. Let me know in your order notes at the checkout.

If you would like to source different / easier-to-read knobs on your own, here's what you need to know:

- The Golden Royale uses 15mm knobs for 1/4" (6.4mm) round shaft potentiometers. There's a Silver and a Black version of the same knob, available at LoveMySwitches: LINK
Note that you will need a 2mm Allen wrench for the set screw.

- The Golden Horse uses 15mm x 17mm, push-in, T18 knurled shaft potentiometers. You can mount rounded shaft knobs, using special adapters like this one: LINK
Note that knobs larger than 15mm in diameter may not fit, and smaller ones may not look as good. Same for the height - knobs smaller than 17mm, or larger skirt-less knobs, may look 'weird' as they make the pot shaft and the pot nut visible.

As specified in both the manual and on the back of the pedal, it is crucial to Never use anything other than 9V to power the Golden Horse, Golden Royale, or Big Klone.

The Klon Centaur original circuit makes use of a charge pump that doubles the input voltage to increase headroom. Any voltage more than 9V would be doubled inside the pedal and will result in damage to the circuit.

As stated in the manual, the added bass becomes more noticeable as you turn up the gain on the Golden Royale. The bass boost mod switch is designed to interact with the gain, so when the gain is set higher, the bass response will be more pronounced. To observe this change, first, turn the gain all the way up on the Golden Royale pedal, then flick the bass switch one way and then the other, taking note of the difference in bass response. After you have experienced the bass switch's effect at maximum gain, adjust the gain to your preferred position. By following these steps, you should be able to discern the difference in bass response when using the bass boost mod switch. Keep in mind that the effect may be more subtle at lower gain settings, but this should help you get a better understanding of how the switch works. The more you will play with the pedal and get used to its sound, the more you will notice the lack or the add of bass at lower gain settings.

The get the most out of the pedal and avoid any unwanted noise, your Decibelics require a High-Quality 9V DC power supply that's regulated, isolated, and designed specifically for use with guitar pedals.

The market offers numerous options, and the right choice depends on your individual needs, such as the number of pedals to power (including current and potential future ones), the voltage/current requirements of your pedals, the size (to fit on your pedalboard), the cost, and the availability.

For those using a single Decibelics and don't plan to add more pedals, two widely available Power Supplies that won't compromise your tone are the Truetone 1 Spot and the BOSS PSA.

Would be great to have a distributor in the US, since it would make my life much easier, but... Know what? I started this company out of my passion for electronics, guitars, pedals AND because it gave me the opportunity to be in direct contact with other musicians/gearheads around the world. That's what I LOVE the most about running Decibelics: The relationship and communication between my customer (the end user of something I passionately created) and me. I love to see their comments when they place the order ("Please sign the side of my pedal!"), love to build their pedals as per their preferences, love to write their name inside, pack the pedals, put their address' shipping label and some personalized Thank You message on the box, then after a few days receive their thank you emails plus some feedback.... And finally, probably gaining a friend. That would not be possible with a distributor... I mean, maybe the day will come when I have no choice but to work with a distributor to alleviate some of the (huge) workload, but as long as I can, I prefer to sell direct so I have the opportunity to meet people like YOU 🙂

I'm flattered to see the high demand for my pedals that results in high second-hand prices, probably because of the limited availability. Unfortunately, I don't have control over the prices in the secondary market. However, please remind that you can always get a brand-new Decibelics pedal directly from me, personalized with your own name, with just a little patience. There is a reason behind why the batches are limited to certain quantities. I'm a one-man operation building around 60-70 pedals a month in my spare time. By limiting the amount, I can make sure that the level of my builds stays within my high quality standards, and that each pedal gets the attention it deserves. I am working to find some helping hand that would allow me to build bigger batches, but this can take time due to my obsession with having every aspect of my business controlled to the smallest detail. There is currently a much greater demand than I can possibly meet, and while this keeps being this way I won't be able to build pedals for everyone on every batch. This is obviously not the ideal situation but there's no other way I can do it at the moment, let's see what the future holds.

Since i'm commited to give the best ever quality/efficiency/size ratio, and because of environmental reasons, there's no room in any of my pedals to accommodate a battery. However, I can include an external battery adaptor with your order if you'd like.

Unfortunately, this is difficult to determine as it has varied in the past. Some months have seen everything sell out within minutes, while other times certain models or variations have remained available for a couple of days. The Golden Horse in Standard Black is usually the most demanded and often the first to sell out. If you're on the website when pre-orders open and have already registered your user and shipping information, you should have zero trouble placing your order.

I don't offer endorsements. On the Decibelics website's Artists page, you'll find big names in the music industry who have all purchased their pedals just like everyone else. Many of them have even promoted my brand without asking for anything in return. I've tried sending a couple free pedals in exchange for promotion in the past, but it didn't have the same impact as when people genuinely love using my pedals.
